Children's Christian Education

(Pre-K - 2nd Grade)

Godly Play Curriculum -

Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond.

(3rd - 5th Grade)

WHIRL Lectionary Curriculum -

reading, reflecting on, and discussing the weekly Gospel readings.

Sunday School both for LAMBS and FISH will be held during the 10:00 AM Sunday service. The children will be released to the classes from church after the opening song and prayer with a “commission” from Fr. Regis. They will return for communion.

The two groups will work together seasonally on a service project as well. The last Sunday of the month will be the Children’s Liturgy at the 10:00 am Service.

Students who wish to sing during this liturgy will practice with Debbie Wunsche after the 10 am service on the Sunday before the Children’s Liturgy.

All teachers and Volunteers have their clearances to "safeguard" God's children.

Rite 13

(6th - 9th Grade)

It's back!  Beginning Monday, November 6, 2017

The program follows the Rite 13 curriculum but will be slightly modified to fit our time schedule.

The program will meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 6 to 7:15 pm.  The group will be led by Allison Kline and Jim Taylor with occasional special visitors or presenters.

The purpose of the Youth Group is to deepen one’s relationship with Jesus through the study of scripture, through discussions of modern life lived with faith, and by exploring one’s call to service. We are looking forward to a dynamic year with a wonderful group of young people.
